As part of the Townscape Heritage scheme and Town Centre Access Plan, we are developing phased improvement works to the road along Little Underbank and part of Lower Hillgate. The works will involve structural repair of the road, pavement resurfacing, improved drainage and new lighting.
You may have seen trial pits taking place, this is to ascertain whether any services require upgrading. We expect the works will commence in early 2020 and will liaise with local businesses in advance to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.
